Splash

I went to a swim meet this weekend in my role as my workplace's Official -Unofficial photographer.   It's an easy role to fall into, first you take your camera with you because you think it will be fun, then you share your pictures and before you know it the responsibility to capture all sorts of events has fallen to you.  It keeps me on my toes and hopefully helps my photography improve.

If nothing else I now have a huge free storage capacity on dropbox through sharing the images.

A role well executed. Fantastic capture of the splash.

Thanks :) I like to take time out of documenting these events to play with my camera. My plan was to make the swimmer secondary to the water, I didn't quite succeed but I was relatively pleased with this one.

A fast shutter speed, as much light as you can capture, multiple takes and a the essential piece of kit - a dollop of luck.

AMaSC is a combination of my and my husband's initials. With an extraneous a. Originally we were both going to contribute to the blog but he never got around to it. By the time we both realised he never would, it was too late to change. He does occasionally point out a type or spelling mistake and often carries my camera bag for me :)

You captured a great moment! What a nice shot! I loved reading about how your blog name came about and your husband occasionally carries your camera bag! You should put that in your about page!
