If you sell oranges for a living you might as well go the whole hog and theme your hair accordingly. However, unless you're trying out for a job as a Ronald McDonald stand in I can't see any other reason for it. No offence meant but seriously, what is it with Indians and orange hair?

it is application of a particular mehendi to the hair which while dyeing it also supposed to be cooling! no,i dont use it :)
Cooling eh? Well that's got to be a good thing but I think I'll avoid the tangerine look for now. Thanks for the information, I can now impress my equally flummoxed friends with my knowledge.
